CareerMode is seeking a Finance Manager for our Brisbane office to join a global mining group. You will oversee month-end and year-end reporting, lead budgeting and forecasting, and provide analytical insights to drive commercial decisions.

You will partner with operational and corporate stakeholders, maintain robust financial controls, and support audits while continuously improving processes and systems. Strong accounting background in a multinational or listed environment is essential.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification with a degree in accounting/finance or related discipline.
• Mining, resources, energy or asset-heavy industry experience preferred.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge in multinational or listed environments.
• Proven leadership of teams and ability to influence non-financial stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel and strong systems experience.
• Excellent communication, translating numbers into commercial recommendations.

The role

Overseeing month-end and year-end financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery

Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities

Providing financial analysis and insights to support commercial decision-making

Monitoring financial performance against budgets, forecasts and key business objectives

Maintaining strong financial controls, governance and compliance with relevant accounting standards

Partnering with operational and corporate stakeholders to support business performance

Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, systems and reporting efficiencies

Supporting audit requirements and liaising with internal and external stakeholders

About you

CA or CPA qualified, with a degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline

Background in mining, resources, energy or another asset-heavy industry (highly regarded)

Strong technical accounting knowledge, with experience in a multinational or listed environment

Proven ability to lead teams and influence non-financial stakeholders

Advanced Excel and strong systems experience

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate numbers into clear commercial recommendations
