Job summary

Merivale in Sydney is seeking passionate chefs to join two Asian restaurants, Mr Wong and Good Luck. We are looking for Commis Chefs, Demi Chefs and Chef de Parties to join our teams on a full-time or casual basis.

You’ll work closely with senior chefs to deliver high-quality food with a strong focus on flavour, technique, consistency and presentation, across Cantonese, Chinese, Southeast Asian and broader Asian cuisines.

Qualifications

• Have professional kitchen experience, ideally within a high-end restaurant.
• Have a genuine passion for Asian cuisine and cooking techniques.
• Have experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
• Bring experience with techniques such as wok cooking, roasting, grilling or steaming.
• Be adaptable and comfortable working across different menus and kitchen sections.
• Have a strong focus on quality, consistency and attention to detail.
• Communicate well and enjoy working as part of a team.
• Be keen to develop your skills and progress your career.

The Venues

We’re looking for passionate chefs to join two of Merivale’s Asian restaurants in Sydney: Mr Wong and Good Luck.

Mr Wong is known for its Cantonese classics and dim sum, while Good Luck brings its own approach to Asian cuisine. Across both venues, you’ll work with experienced culinary teams, develop your skills and help deliver food in busy restaurant kitchens.
