Job summary

The Grand View Hotel, Bowen is seeking a talented Chef to join our kitchen team and create unforgettable dining experiences. This role offers a competitive salary plus superannuation and accommodation provided if required, in a scenic coastal town.

You will assist in maintaining an efficient kitchen across both venues, ensuring high-quality meals are prepared promptly and presented well, using fresh, frozen and prepared ingredients on a seasonal menu.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a fast paced commercial kitchen.
• Availability to work any hospitality hours
• Ability to work well under a high pressure environment
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery

Responsibilities

• Assisting our team in maintaining an efficient and proactive kitchen operation across both venues
• Ensuring all meals are of high quality and are prepared in a timely manner
• Utilising a variety of fresh, frozen and prepared ingredients to prepare, cook and present a range of dishes according to a seasonal menu
• Practicing effective stock rotation and wastage minimisation procedures
• Assisting with menu changes when required
