Aveo Peregian Springs Country Club is seeking a Chef Manager to lead a hands-on kitchen, oversee food prep, ordering, rostering and menu input for a 230+ unit retirement living community. This permanent full-time role runs Monday-Friday 9.30-5.30pm, offering strong leadership and daily cooking that connects with residents.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Chef in a restaurant, hotel, healthcare or high-quality hospitality environment.
• Experience with stock ordering systems, rostering, and kitchen administration.
• Hands-on in kitchen while coordinating daily operations.
• Strong communication and genuine interest in connecting with residents.
• Enthusiasm for retirement living and positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on preparation of high-quality meals and maintain daily kitchen operations.
• Oversee ordering, stock control, food safety compliance and kitchen administration.
• Coordinate rostering and support recruitment/onboarding of kitchen staff.
• Contribute to menu planning using resident feedback and dietary needs.
• Plan and deliver catering for community functions and events.
• Build relationships with residents and respond to feedback to enhance dining.
