Job summary

Aveo is seeking a dedicated Chef Manager for Bayview Gardens Retirement Living in Sydney's Northern Beaches. The role is a permanent full-time position, leading the kitchen from a hands-on chef perspective while coordinating the entire kitchen operations and menu input to meet residents' dietary needs.

You will oversee food preparation, ordering, compliance, rostering, and staff development, aiming to deliver high-quality dining experiences daily and foster community within the retirement living

Qualifications

• Certificate in Commercial Cookery (required) and Food Safety certification (desirable).
• Experience as a Chef in restaurant, hotel, healthcare or high-quality hospitality environment.
• Hands-on in the kitchen with ability to lead and coordinate daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on preparation of high-quality meals while overseeing daily kitchen operations.
• Oversee stock ordering, food safety compliance, rostering, and kitchen administration.
• Coordinate rostering and support recruitment and onboarding of kitchen staff.
• Contribute to menu planning, incorporating resident feedback and dietary needs.
• Plan and deliver catering for community events and functions.
• Build relationships with residents and foster a sense of community.
