Job summary

Compass Group Pty Limited is seeking a hands-on Chef Manager in the Snowy Mountains region to lead a 10+ person onsite catering team. You will oversee food production, stock control and budgeting while mentoring staff and maintaining strong client relationships.

The role requires a Cert IV in Commercial Cookery, allergen and food safety expertise, and proven P&L management in a fast-paced environment. NSW health guidelines are part of the daily operations.

Qualifications

• Formal culinary qualification required (Cert IV or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of allergens management and food safety policies.
• Experience with full P&L management and budgeting.
• Roster planning and menu costing experience.
• Client-facing account management is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on planning, supervising and managing onsite food production and catering.
• Oversee stock control, budgets, weekly reporting, mentoring and training staff.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients to meet objectives.
• Manage finances within budget and ensure efficient operations.
• Ensure OH&S compliance and contract scope of work is understood.
