Compass Group Pty Limited is seeking a hands-on Chef Manager in the Snowy Mountains region to lead a 10+ person onsite catering team. You will oversee food production, stock control and budgeting while mentoring staff and maintaining strong client relationships.

The role requires a Cert IV in Commercial Cookery, allergen and food safety expertise, and proven P&L management in a fast-paced environment. NSW health guidelines are part of the daily operations.

Qualifications

• Formal culinary qualification required (Cert IV or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of allergens management and food safety policies.
• Experience with full P&L management and budgeting.
• Roster planning and menu costing experience.
• Client-facing account management is advantageous.

Responsabilités

Chef Manager - Full-Time

Attractive Annual Base Salary + 12% superannuation + $3000 fuel allowance + 6 weeks annual leave

• Based in the picturesque Snowy Mountains region of Jindabyne

THE POSITION

• Hands on planning, supervising, and managing the food production and menu based catering onsite


• Responsible for stock control, budgets, weekly reporting and staff mentoring and training - both front and back of house


• Building and leveraging positive customer and client relationships to achieve our partnership objectives


• Manage finances within a budget & maintain efficient operations


• Ensure contract compliance is met and understanding of the scope of work required (including all OH&S compliance)

THE PERSON

• Minimum Cert IV in Commercial Cookery qualification


• Thorough understanding of allergens management and Food Safety policies and procedures


• Good understanding of the NSW healthy eating framework


• Experience with full P&L Management


• Menu creation, costing and roster management


• Must have experience worked in bulk produce within a fast paced high volume environment


• Strong people management skills & ability to deliver a high standard of customer focused service - this is also a client facing role


• Contract management and client relationship experience highly regarded


• Intermediate computer/Microsoft office skills
