Job summary

Cater Care in NSW is seeking a Chef Manager to lead the Anglican Care - Bishop Tyrrell kitchen. You will be hands-on with menu development, bulk cooking, and texture-modified meals while upholding high standards across every service.

This permanent full-time role offers a Monday to Friday roster, 9:00am to 5:30pm, weekends off, and a salary of $85,000 plus super. You’ll join a supportive team with opportunities to grow within Cater Care’s aged care portfolio.

Qualifications

• Trade Certification in Commercial Cookery and a Food Safety Supervisor qualification.
• Hands-on commercial cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen.
• Experience with texture modified foods and dietary requirements.
• Ability to work independently and manage kitchen responsibilities.
• Willingness to complete police check and vaccination.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the kitchen and ensure every service runs smoothly.
• Cook nutritious meals meeting menu requirements and resident needs.
• Deliver high-volume bulk cooking with quality and presentation.

What You'll Do

About You

• Hold Trade Certification in Commercial Cookery and a Food Safety Supervisor qualification.
• Have hands-on commercial cooking experience and confidence working in a high-volume kitchen.
• Understand texture modified food preparation, special dietary requirements and food safety practices.
• Bring strong organisational skills and the ability to manage kitchen responsibilities independently.
• Take genuine pride in producing quality food and creating enjoyable dining experiences.
• Have the required documentation and willingness to complete a police check and flu vaccination.
