Catering Industries Pty Ltd in New Town, TAS, seeks a Fulltime Chef Manager to lead kitchen operations at an aged care facility. Reporting to Area Manager, you will design menus, supervise staff, and ensure meals meet nutrition and HACCP standards.

The role offers a balanced roster, Monday to Friday 8:00 am–5:30 pm, with competitive hourly pay of 42 AUD plus super. A strong emphasis on resident wellbeing and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• NDIS check required or willingness to obtain one
• Reliability, attention to detail and a caring attitude
• 3+ years' experience in a similar role; aged care experience highly regarded
• Cert III or IV in commercial cookery
• Knowledge of Mandarin language desirable
• Experience in large volume cooking and stock handling/ordering
• High QA, WH&S, HACCP and Food Safety knowledge

Responsabilités

• Produce high quality meals in line with aged care HACCP guidelines
• Assist in menu design, changes and implementation
• Assist with deliveries and kitchen clean-up duties
• Be a good all-rounder in kitchen (baking, soups, desserts)
• Prepare special diets (puree, gluten-free, texture-modified)
• Stay organized and multi-task in a busy kitchen
• Oversee kitchen operations including ordering, staff training/management and payroll approvals
