Job summary

Cater Care is seeking an experienced Chef Manager to lead our kitchen operations at an aged care residence in Horsham. This hands-on leadership role requires owning kitchen operations, developing a team, and delivering high standards across food quality, service and compliance.

We offer a $90,000 salary + super, plus a $3,000 retention bonus paid at 3 and 6 months, with a Monday–Friday roster, uniform provided and ongoing training and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification and current Food Safety Supervisor Certification are required.
• Experience leading a kitchen team or managing hospitality operations.
• Strong leadership, communication and people management skills.
• Experience in hospitality, catering, aged care or healthcare food services.
• Willingness to commit long-term to Horsham area.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the kitchen team, driving performance, engagement and accountability.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations, food preparation, presentation and service.
• Manage food and labour costs to achieve budget targets.
• Order, control and maintain stock inventory levels.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and quality standards.
• Oversee bulk meal production and preparation of texture-modified meals.
