Job summary

Aegis Shoreline is seeking a qualified Chef Manager to lead the kitchen at our North Coogee aged care facility. You will oversee rostering, food ordering, and ensure adherence to food safety plans while delivering high-quality meals for residents.

This permanent full-time role runs Monday to Friday, offering ongoing training and career growth within a supportive team. Aged care experience is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation and cooking for large numbers, preferably including vulnerable people.
• Proven experience running a busy, high-volume food service.
• Excellent food safety knowledge.
• Sound understanding of rostering and staff scheduling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Customer service ethos with a focus on quality service.
• Passion for cooking and delivering high-quality meals.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality catering service enriching residents' lives.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and Aegis' food safety plan.
• Manage the rostering of kitchen staff.
• Manage food ordering and storage according to regulations.
• Ensure efficient use of resources and maximise service within budget.
