Job summary

Calvary Lower Plenty is seeking a Chef Manager to lead the kitchen at Lower Plenty Garden Views, VIC 3093. The role is full-time and permanent, overseeing daily operations, menu execution, and compliance with IDDSI and allergen awareness.

You will liaise with residents and families, manage budgets, and use computerised ordering systems to maintain quality. Ideal candidates hold a Cert 4 in cooking, have aged care exposure, and show strong leadership with comfort using Leecare and related IT.

Qualifications

• Cert 4 in cooking minimum.
• Aged Care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of computers and Leecare system (desirable).
• Strong positive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Cooking to a set menu.

About The Role

Lower Plenty Garden Views is looking for a chef who can make a difference to the lives of our residents.

You will be passionate about aged care and supportive of your team of dedicated catering staff.

Working with 90 beds in Lower Plenty, this position will be full time ongoing.

Your main duties will include:

• Oversight Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm managing the day to day operations of a busy Aged Care Kitchen.
• Cooking to a set menu
• IDDSI and allergen awareness essential
• resident and relative meetings, budget tracking and food ordering via computerised systems.

About You

• Cert 4 in cooking minimum
• Aged Care experience preferred
