Job summary

Calvary Lower Plenty is seeking a Chef Manager to lead the busy aged care kitchen, overseeing daily operations from Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with a focus on safe menu execution and resident satisfaction.

You will manage budgeting, food ordering via computerised systems, and contribute to menu planning while ensuring IDDSI and allergen awareness.

Cert 4 in cooking is required; prior aged care experience is preferred; Leecare experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Cert 4 in cooking is required.
• Aged Care experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of computerised systems (Leecare desirable).
• IDDSI and allergen awareness essential.

About the role

Lower Plenty Garden Views is looking for a chef who can make a difference to the lives of our residents.

You will be passionate about aged care and supportive of your team of dedicated catering staff.

Working with 90 beds in Lower Plenty, this position will be full time ongoing.

Your main duties will include:

• Oversight Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm managing the day to day operations of a busy Aged Care Kitchen.
• Cooking to a set menu
• IDDSI and allergen awareness essential
• resident and relative meetings, budget tracking and food ordering via computerised systems.

About you

• Cert 4 in cooking minimum
• Aged Care experience preferred
• Knowledge of computers and Leecare system (desirable)
• Strong positive leadership
