Job summary

The Albion Hotel Casterton in Western Victoria is seeking multiple experienced Chefs to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. You will prepare and cook a range of dishes, ensuring quality and presentation across daily dining and hospitality services.

We value local produce, strong teamwork, and food safety; a Diploma in commercial cookery and at least one year of experience are preferred. Accommodation may be available on site and flexible hours are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of full-time experience as a Chef in a busy kitchen.
• Diploma in commercial cookery or equivalent.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Passion for producing high-quality meals using regional produce.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for daily dining and hospitality services.
• Assist with menu updates and seasonal specials.
• Maintain consistent food quality, portion sizes and presentation.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene and storage practices.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff during service to deliver dishes on time.
• Assist with stock management and reduce food waste.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment.
