Job summary

Albion Hotel Casterton is hiring multiple Chefs to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. You will prepare and cook a range of dishes, maintain food quality and hygiene, and support smooth kitchen operations during busy services.

We value experience in busy kitchens, a relevant cookery qualification, and a passion for regional produce. Accommodation may be available on site at a reasonable cost.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of full-time experience in a busy commercial kitchen.
• Diploma or equivalent in commercial cookery or related field.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Passion for high-quality meals with a focus on regional produce.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a range of dishes in line with menu and standards.
• Work with kitchen team to deliver meals for daily dining and hospitality services.
• Assist with menu updates and seasonal specials based on local produce and availability.
• Maintain consistent food quality, portion sizes and presentation.
• Monitor food safety, storage and handling to comply with requirements.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff during service to ensure timely delivery of dishes.
• Assist with stock management, including managing ingredients and minimising wastage.
