Job summary

Royal Geelong Yacht Club (RGYC) in Geelong, Victoria, seeks a confident Chef de Partie to join our bustling hospitality team. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will support cafe, bistro, functions and events operations, ensuring high-quality food and service.

This full-time role involves managing kitchen service, training junior staff, and contributing to menu planning while maintaining HACCP standards in a lively bayside environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Experience as a Chef de Partie or Demi Chef ready to step up.
• Ability to run kitchen service independently when required.
• Strong understanding of food preparation and HACCP requirements.
• Experience with stock control and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes across café, bistro, functions and events.
• Complete mise en place and daily service requirements.
• Ensure timely and professional delivery of food during service.
• Run kitchen service independently when directed.
• Support menu planning and seasonal development.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and HACCP compliance.
