Job summary

Norths Collective in NSW is seeking an experienced Senior Kitchen
Chef to lead a fast-paced kitchen, ensuring high-quality dishes and efficient service. You will manage food preparation, presentation, and stock control while supporting the Head and Sous Chefs in daily operations.

You will uphold strict hygiene, safety standards, and training of junior staff, contributing to community-focused hospitality and club initiatives. A vibrant team environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environments.
• Knowledge of health, hygiene and WHS legislation.
• Experience in food quality control.
• Current NSW Basic Food Handlers certificate.
• Experience using digital platforms for ordering and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation, cooking and presentation of food.
• Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef where required.
• Maintain proper portion and stock control to keep food costs down.
• Maintain clean and orderly workspaces.
• Ensure hygiene and food safety to the highest level in line with guidelines and club policies.
• Actively drive Work, Health and Safety compliance activities.
• Direct and support kitchen team members.
• Train junior kitchen staff per policies and training courses.
• Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders.
