Job summary

Wards Central Dining in Shenton Park, WA is seeking a Chef de Partie for a casual role. You will run your section during service, prep and plate high-quality dishes, and work across breakfast and lunch service.

Ideal candidates will have CDP or strong Commis experience, a calm, organised approach, passion for fresh produce, and reliable team spirit. Valid working rights for Australia are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a CDP or a strong Commis ready to step up.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification - desired but not essential).
• A calm, organised approach to service and prep.
• Passion for fresh produce, rustic food, and a hands-on kitchen culture.
• Reliability, good communication, and a positive team spirit.
• Valid working rights for Australia.

The Role

We’re looking for a Chef de Partie to join our vibrant kitchen team in a casual position. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment loves working in a strong supportive team & culture and takes pride in their craft.

Responsibilities include:

Running your section efficiently during service

Preparing and plating consistently high-quality food on time

Working across breakfast & lunch offerings

Supporting smooth kitchen operations including prep, stock rotation, and cleanliness

Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards

Contributing ideas to seasonal menu updates and specials

Mondays & Tuesdays and variable shifts during week and weekends - open to variation of hours and shifts for the right person)

Availability for early mornings & weekends,

What We're Looking For
