Job summary

Song Hotel Sydney seeks an experienced Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at Song Kitchen, contributing to high-quality dishes across breakfast, dinner and catering for a purpose-driven environment.

You will lead a kitchen section, ensure food safety, collaborate with the Chef de Cuisine on menu development, mentor junior staff, and help manage costs while delivering exceptional guest experiences in a charity-forward hotel.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing high-quality food across breakfast, dinner and catering services.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety, hygiene requirements and workplace health and safety standards.
• Well-developed communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across kitchen and operational teams.
• Proactive and self-motivated approach, with a commitment to achieving high standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and cook high-quality dishes for breakfast and dinner services in accordance with menu standards and guest expectations.
• Manage and oversee the assigned kitchen section, ensuring all food preparation, cooking, and presentation meet high standards.
• Collaborate with the Chef de Cuisine and kitchen team to develop menus and improve presentation techniques.
• Assist with menu planning, food preparation requirements, and estimating food and labour costs.
• Maintain quality, consistency, and presentation of dishes throughout all stages of preparation and service.
• Ensure meals are prepared and delivered in a timely manner with exceptional taste and portion control.
