• Hospitality qualifications and/or 1 to 3 years of employment experience.
• Experience cooking with fire.
• Self-motivated, professional and passionate.
• Appreciate and respect working with Australia’s most exceptional ingredients.
• Strong product knowledge.
• Great communication and organizational skills along with sound decision making.
• Exceptional grooming standards and strong attention to details essential.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster.

Join the vibrant and friendly team at one of Sydney’s most exciting restaurants. Woodcut is owned and operated by award-winning couple, chef Ross Lusted and Sunny Lusted.

ABOUT WOODCUT

The heart and soul of Woodcut is fire, steam, smoke and ice. Our four open kitchens focus on their own cooking style and offer counter seating so diners can deeply engage with the theatre of the cooking process. Dishes are prepared in wood and charcoal grills and steam kettles. The earthy and sensory cooking methods impart a tangible element of flavour and authenticity to the cooking process with each dish telling a story and triggering a memory of time and place.

THE ROLE

We are currently seeking for a passionate Chef de Partie to highlight their skills within our team. This opportunity is for someone with similar experience or who wants to further their career. We are looking for chefs that have an eye for details, maintain high standards and are self-motivated.
