Job summary

Paisley Park Early Learning Centres is seeking a passionate Chef for our Randwick site, responsible for planning nutritious, appealing meals for up to 160 children aged 0–5 years. You will prepare meals in a purpose-built kitchen while supporting dietary requirements and culturally diverse options.

You will collaborate with Educators, families and kitchen staff to bring cooking experiences into the educational program and ensure the highest standards of safety, hygiene and food handling.

Qualifications

• Formal culinary qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Commercial Cookery).
• Experience as a Chef, ideally in early childhood, education, hospitality or large-scale catering.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition, food safety, allergen management and dietary requirements for young children.
• Commitment to child safety and safeguarding responsibilities.
• Ability to develop interesting and nutritious menus that children enjoy.
• Collaborative approach with Educators, families and kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare nutritious, varied, appealing daily menus for 0–5 years in line with NSW guidelines.
• Cater for dietary requirements, allergies, intolerances and cultural preferences.
• Collaborate with Educators, Centre Leadership, families and kitchen staff to create positive food experiences.
• Introduce children to fresh, seasonal and diverse foods within the educational program.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and allergen management.
• Lead kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and quality.
