Job summary

360 Early Education Macquarie Park is seeking a qualified Chef to own the service kitchen and design fresh menus for our children. You will plan, cook and plate meals on-site, ensuring nutrition guidelines are met and the menu stands up to independent scrutiny by nutrition authorities.

You’ll manage a busy kitchen, work with families and educators, and ensure safety, allergy management, and a clean, compliant food service environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or recognised)
• Current Food Safety Supervisor certificate
• Working knowledge of childcare nutrition guidelines (Australian Dietary Guidelines and Get Up & Grow)
• Demonstrated experience managing allergens and special dietary requirements safely
• Current, or willing to obtain, First Aid and Child Protection training

Responsibilities

• Design, write and rotate the service menu: fresh, seasonal, varied and appealing to young children
• Cook all meals and snacks fresh on-site daily
• Manage a busy commercial kitchen and budget; order stock and minimise waste
• Accommodate allergies and dietary needs; maintain accurate records
• Uphold child-safe practice and communicate with families about the menu and changes
