Job summary

Cattle Camp Hotel Charleville in Charleville, Queensland, is seeking a Chef or Cook to join a busy regional kitchen. You’ll contribute to a seasonal menu, prepare high-quality meals, and support a proactive kitchen operation across two venues.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fast-paced commercial kitchen.
• Availability to work any hospitality hours.
• Ability to work well under a high-pressure environment.
• Formal qualifications and at least 2 years of relevant employment experience (or 3 years if no formal qualifications).

Responsibilities

• Assisting our team in maintaining an efficient and proactive kitchen operation across both venues.
• Ensuring all meals are of high quality and prepared on time.
• Utilising a variety of fresh, frozen, and prepared ingredients to prepare, cook, and present a range of dishes according to a seasonal menu.
• Practicing effective stock rotation and wastage minimisation procedures.
• Assisting with menu changes when required.
