Job summary

Be the difference in aged care at Warrigal Care's Calwell home, in a full-time catering role. You will bring your cooking skills and knowledge to prepare nutritious, well presented meals for residents, creating a positive dining experience.

You will manage all aspects of catering and food production, including supervising staff, ordering stock within budget, and maintaining food safety standards. We offer $36.10 per hour + Super + Not-for-Profit salary packaging, plus mentoring and gym access.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or similar qualification.
• Proven ability to prepare nutritious, well presented meals for residents.
• Experience in bulk cooking and stock ordering within budget.

The requirements

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery orsimilar
• Extensive cooking experience in a commercialenvironment
• Demonstrated experience in the preparation of bulkcooking.
• Experience in ordering stock within budgetguidelines.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal withdemonstrated interpersonal skills and empathy with olderpeople.
• Demonstrated organisational skills and meetingdeadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to direct and supervise the work ofothers.
• An understanding of andan abilityto deal withWork Health and Safety issues.
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinedteam.
• Commitment to workplace equity issues.
• Ensure the food service complies with the requirements ofthe NSW Food Authority
• First aid certificate
