Job summary

South Bunbury Community Aged Care seeks a passionate Chef to deliver high-quality culinary experiences and lead the kitchen team during the commissioning phase of a brand-new 180-bed home. You will shape workflows, standards and service in collaboration with nurses, carers and families.

You are a qualified Chef with experience from fine dining to aged care, bringing creativity, strong leadership and a commitment to excellence as the home opens in November 2026.

Qualifications

• HLTSS00061 Food Safety Supervisor qualification within the last five years.
• Police Check within 12 months.
• Experience leading catering team and managing budgets.
• Ability to manage clinically required diets.
• Strong knowledge of catering principles and food service operations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a food services team.
• Develop innovative menu plans.
• Manage budgets and costings effectively.
• Build strong relationships with industry suppliers.
• Develop and implement high-quality food safety and compliance processes.
• Support residents with varied dietary needs, including textured and modified diets.
• Bring a positive, solutions-focused attitude to a commissioning environment.
