Job summary

Travel + Leisure Co. is seeking a Food & Beverage All Rounder / Cook for Kirra Beach Resort on the Gold Coast. You will be hands-on in daily F&B operations, working across kitchen and guest service to deliver a memorable dining experience for Owners and guests.

The role requires prior Cook/F&B or hospitality experience, a relevant Certificate III, solid knowledge of food safety, and strong customer service. RSA may be required or obtained after joining.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Cook, Food & Beverage or hospitality all-rounder role.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is desirable.
• Sound knowledge of food preparation, food safety and hygiene.
• Food & Beverage or customer service experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• RSA certification, or willingness to obtain, where required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present meals in line with established menus and quality standards.
• Support day-to-day kitchen operations and food preparation.
• Provide friendly and professional food and beverage service to Owners and guests.
• Take orders and serve food and beverages.
• Assist with restaurant set-up, clearing, cleaning and general service duties.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Monitor food quality, presentation and portion standards.
• Assist with stock rotation, storage and inventory requirements.
• Work across kitchen and front-of-house duties as needed.
• Follow workplace health and safety, food safety and company policies.

How You’ll Shine

As a Food & Beverage All Rounder / Cook, you will play a hands‑on role in the day‑to‑day Food & Beverage operations at Kirra Beach Resort, working across both kitchen and guest service functions.

You will prepare and present high-quality food while also supporting front‑of‑house service to ensure our Owners and guests enjoy a welcoming and memorable dining experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing, cooking and presenting meals in accordance with established menus and quality standards
• Supporting day‑to‑day kitchen operations and food preparation
• Providing friendly and professional food and beverage service to Owners and guests
• Taking orders and serving food and beverages
• Assisting with restaurant set‑up, clearing, cleaning and general service duties
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
• Monitoring food quality, presentation and portion standards
• Assisting with stock rotation, storage and general inventory requirements
• Working across kitchen and front‑of‑house duties based on operational requirements
• Following workplace health and safety, food safety and company policies and procedures
• Working collaboratively with the wider resort team to deliver an exceptional guest experience

What You’ll Bring

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

• Previous experience in a Cook, Food & Beverage or hospitality all‑rounder role, ideally within a resort, hotel, café or restaurant environment
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or relevant trade qualification is desirable
• Sound knowledge of food preparation, food safety and hygiene
• Food & Beverage or customer service experience
• A positive, friendly and team‑focused approach
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Confidence working independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work a flexible roster including nights, weekends, school holidays and public holidays
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification, or willingness to obtain, where required
