Job summary

Travel + Leisure Co. is seeking a Food & Beverage All Rounder / Cook at Kirra Beach Resort on the Gold Coast.

You’ll work across kitchen and guest service, preparing and presenting meals while supporting front-of-house service to ensure guests enjoy a welcoming dining experience. We value experience in Cook/F&B or hospitality, a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is desirable, and you’ll have strong food safety knowledge, customer service skills, and the ability to work a flexible roster

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Cook, Food & Beverage or hospitality all-rounder role, ideally within a resort, hotel, café or restaurant environment.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or relevant trade qualification is desirable.
• Sound knowledge of food preparation, food safety and hygiene.
• Food & Beverage or customer service experience.
• A positive, friendly and team-focused approach.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work a flexible roster including nights, weekends, school holidays and public holidays.
• RSA certification, or willingness to obtain, where required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking and presenting meals in accordance with established menus and quality standards.
• Supporting day-to-day kitchen operations and food preparation.
• Providing friendly and professional food and beverage service to Owners and guests.
• Taking orders and serving food and beverages.
• Assisting with restaurant set-up, clearing, cleaning and general service duties.
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Monitoring food quality, presentation and portion standards.
• Assisting with stock rotation, storage and general inventory requirements.
• Working across kitchen and front-of-house duties based on operational requirements.
• Following workplace health and safety, food safety and company policies and procedures.

How You’ll Shine

As a Food & Beverage All Rounder / Cook, you will play a hands-on role in the day-to-day Food & Beverage operations at Kirra Beach Resort, working across both kitchen and guest service functions. You will prepare and present high-quality food while also supporting front-of-house service to ensure our Owners and guests enjoy a welcoming and memorable dining experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing, cooking and presenting meals in accordance with established menus and quality standards
• Supporting day-to-day kitchen operations and food preparation
• Providing friendly and professional food and beverage service to Owners and guests
• Taking orders and serving food and beverages
• Assisting with restaurant set-up, clearing, cleaning and general service duties

• Assisting with stock rotation, storage and general inventory requirements
• Working across kitchen and front-of-house duties based on operational requirements

• Working collaboratively with the wider resort team to deliver an exceptional guest experience

What You’ll Bring

• Previous experience in a Cook, Food & Beverage or hospitality all-rounder role, ideally within a resort, hotel, café or restaurant environment
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or relevant trade qualification is desirable
• Sound knowledge of food preparation, food safety and hygiene
• Food & Beverage or customer service experience
• A positive, friendly and team-focused approach
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Confidence working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work a flexible roster including nights, weekends, school holidays and public holidays
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification, or willingness to obtain, where required
