The role requires Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, proven experience in a similar setting, and strong HACCP knowledge, with opportunities for training and career development in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) is required.
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in aged care or hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and cooking of meals for residents, ensuring high-quality food is served.
• Collaborate with the Chef Manager to plan menus catering to dietary requirements and cultural needs.
• Oversee kitchen operations, including stock control, waste management, and food safety protocols.
• Ensure meals are presented beautifully and align with food safety standards.
• Mentor and train kitchen staff, providing guidance as needed.
