Murray Princess – SeaLink Marine & Tourism is seeking a Chef 2 to support galley and dining operations onboard. The role reports to the Head Chef, focusing on food preparation, cooking and serving for passengers and crew in a fast-paced ship environment.
Essential requirements include 1 year kitchen/cookery experience, guest service experience, and a commercial cookery certificate; food safety training is desirable.

The PS Murray Princess is the largest inland paddle wheeler in the Southern Hemisphere. Accommodating a maximum of 120 guests and operating 3, 4, and 7 night cruises on the Murray River this stunning vessel attracts guests from all over Australia and the world.

All meals and onboard accommodation is included when rostered to work. Transport from Adelaide CBD to Mannum on boarding days is provided at no cost.
The Chef 2 is an integral position in the hospitality operation. The Chef 2 primary function is to assist food services in the galley and dining room in accordance with safe food handling guidelines.
Reporting to the Head Chef, Chef 2 is responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving meals for passengers and crew. Chef 2 works closely with the Head Chef for the supervision and guidance of food service to ensure a hygienic, timely, and nutritious food service.
The Chef 2 is expected to ensure that schedules are adequately serviced and that the Galley and all its appliances, storage areas, and fridges/freezers are clean and sanitized at the end of every shift in accordance with health regulations and company policy.
Chef 2 is on a rotating roster of 14.5 days on / 13.5 off and may be required to work outside of these hours on occasions during periods of annual leave and maintenance requirements. The roster will include alternative day breakfast shifts.
This role requires energy, commitment, initiative, teamwork, multi-skilling, and time management. You MUST be able to manage a fast pace in a busy environment.
