Ray's Pizza Cafe in Sydney is seeking an experienced chef to lead our Italian kitchen. The role requires 2 years of full-time chef experience and a strong focus on authentic Italian cuisine, hygiene, and efficiency in a fast-paced setting.

You will plan menus, manage food and labour costs, monitor temperatures, ensure quality at all stages of preparation, and collaborate with the team to deliver high standards of service. English proficiency is required; Italian language is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Inspect food preparation and ensure kitchen cleanliness
• Ensure quality in production and preparation of food
• Plan restaurant menus
• Estimate food and labour costs and order supplies
• Check and record fridge temperatures
• Maintain communication with the work team
• Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation
• Explain and enforce hygiene regulations
• Cook all dishes on the menu including pizzas and pastas
• Bake desserts and prepare salads
• Regulate oven and cooking equipment temperatures

We are currently looking for an experienced Chef for our restaurant, Ray's Pizza Cafe':

It is a full time position

Experienced in Italian Cuisine

2 years full time experience as a Chef

Good English level. Italian language is a plus

High level of personal cleanliness

Able to work under pressure in a fast pace environment

Able to work as a part of a team

Mains tasks will be:

Inspecting food preparation to ensure the presentation and cleanliness of the kitchen is maintained

Ensuring quality in the production and preparation of food

Planning restaurant menus

Estimating food and labour cost and order food supplies from suppliers

Checking and recording cool room and fridges temperature

Recording the temperature according to food and safety standards

Maintaining communication with the work team

Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation

Discussing food preparation issues with the team

Reporting to Cafe’ manager about work flow ,urgent order and significant issues

Demonstrating technique and advising on cooking procedures

Explaining and enforce hygiene regulations

Cooking every dishes on the menu including different pizzas and pastas

Baking cakes and different desserts

Making various salads

Portioning food, placing it on plates, add gravies sauces and garnishes

Regulating temperatures of ovens ,grills and other cooking equipment

Adherence to food safety procedure

Salary: $80,000-82,000 per year
