Job summary

Sawtell RSL Club in New South Wales is seeking a Chef to support the Executive Chef and help lead the kitchen brigade of 14. You will be a hands-on leader who loves great food and delivering outstanding meals and customer service in a fast-paced club Bistro environment with a modern twist.

Bring ideas for menu design, a commitment to food safety and WHS, and flexibility to work across 7 days and nights. Trade qualification is preferred and prior kitchen leadership experience is advantageous.

Job description

SAWTELLRSL CLUB is a popular local venue offering food solutions for all its 9,000 members.

There is the busy Oasis Bistro seating 170 and the Waves Cafe seating around 50.

The Club also caters for functions with a 140 person function room upstairs and a 400 person auditorium. The food history shows around a $2 million revenue annually. This is a solid and busy catering operation so you will be hitting the ground running!

We are now looking for aChefto support the Executive Chef and help lead the kitchen brigade of 14. You will be a person who truly knows how to lead a team to achieve and you are also passionate about food as well as delivering outstanding meals and customer service excellence!

You will expect to be immersed in a menu that is traditional Club Bistro style food with a modern twist as well as daily blackboard specials that are certainly high-quality restaurant meals. There is also a unique $16 lunch time menu to plan for which changes monthly. Are you interested in supporting a strong Exec Chef in a fast paced food operation?
