Guruji Hospitality Pty Ltd T/A Delhi 6 Authentic Indian Restaurant in Canning Vale, WA, seeks a qualified full-time Chef to lead kitchen operations and ensure authentic Indian flavours for a busy dining venue.

You will design menus, train kitchen staff, supervise food preparation to meet hygiene and portion standards, manage stock, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure consistent quality and cost control.

Qualifications

• Diploma level qualification is required.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Well presented and motivated.
• Able to work unsupervised under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Providing instructions to kitchen staff regarding proper handling of cooking equipment and demonstrating different cooking styles.
• Menu designing and amending details in menu regarding prices, dishes and seasonal specials.
• Checking seasoning and garnishing and ensuring correct portioning per restaurant standards.
• Directing food preparation to meet dietary requirements of customers.
• Ensuring meals are prepared to hygiene standards and served on time.
• Ensure staff adhere to Occupational health and safety measures.
• Analysing and approximating price for food and human resources.
• Ensuring food storage in temperature-controlled facilities.
• Monitoring quality of raw and cooked food.
• Responsible for preparation of dishes as per menu and recipes.
• Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment.
• Train other kitchen staff and apprentices.
• Managing stock inventory and ordering high-quality raw materials.
• Addressing issues to ensure smooth operation of the business.

They provide authentic Indian cuisine to the customers. They are most reputed hospitality firm in Perth and cater for authentic Indian food. They are seeking an experienced and qualified chef for the restaurant.

Responsibilities:

• Providing instructions to kitchen staff regarding the proper way of handling cooking equipment and demonstrating different cooking styles.
• Menu designing and amending details in menu regarding prices, dishes whenever required as well as planning seasonal specials.
• Checking whether the seasoning and garnishing of food are done appropriately as well as ensuring that the right portion of food is served to the customers as per restaurant standards.
• Directing food preparation to meet any special dietary requirements of the customer.
• Ensuring that the meals are prepared as per hygiene standards and served to the customers on time.
• Ensure staff always adhere to Occupational health and safety measures.
