Qualifications

• 1–2 years of chef experience
• AQF Associate Degree or Diploma in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
• Strong organisational and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a range of dishes to a consistently high standard
• Contribute to menu development and assist in estimating food and labour costs
• Maintain hygiene standards and ensure food safety regulations are followed at all times
• Supervise kitchen staff, provide guidance, and assist with training as required
• Manage stock levels and coordinate ordering of food supplies
• Work closely with Head chef and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Ensure proper storage and preservation of food items, including freezing where appropriate
