Job summary

Civilcast is seeking a Chartered Civil & Structural Design Engineer to join our Erskine Park team (moving to Penrith later this year). You will design and certify precast concrete and steel elements that go straight into major civil projects, performing structural calculations and producing construction drawings.

You will work with the Technical Team Leader and across departments to turn concepts into compliant designs, from calculations to drawings, while supporting bids and cost estimates for

Qualifications

• Essential: Australian work rights.
• Essential: Chartered Engineer, NER registered with Engineers Australia.
• Essential: Bachelor's degree in civil & structural engineering or related field.
• Essential: Minimum 5 years' civil engineering experience with field experience preferred.
• Essential: Proven experience designing and certifying steel and precast structures/products.
• Essential: Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit or similar.
• Essential: Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple projects under deadline pressure.
• Essential: Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and certify precast concrete and steel elements, including reinforcement design, structural calculations and FEA, coordinating drawings and specs.
• Collaborate with project coordination, customers and contractors to resolve engineering challenges and keep projects on track.
• Provide technical advice and support across the business, including input on bids, proposals and cost estimates for major projects.

• Proven experience designing and certifying steel and precast structures/products.

• Experience with Strand engineering software, and strong civil drawing literacy.

• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar.

• Sharp attention to detail, solid organisational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple projects under deadline pressure.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable:

• Experience in civil and underground services design, particularly stormwater systems.

• Strong understanding of infrastructure requirements for water, sewer, stormwater, and utilities.

• Solid knowledge of local construction practices and regulatory frameworks.

• Experience with Transport for NSW (TfNSW) projects.
