• Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (CPEng highly regarded).
• 10+ years’ structural design experience within consultancy.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in FEM and structural analysis software (Robot, Wallap, Revit).
• Experience in water and wastewater infrastructure, bridges, culverts, or ground engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and verify stormwater and sewer infrastructure, including pipes, manholes and associated civil works, to Sydney Water and local authority standards.
• Undertake structural and geotechnical condition assessment of water and wastewater assets, and develop remedial options.
• Inspect, assess and load rate bridges and culvert systems, and develop strengthening, refurbishment and replacement designs.
• Design deep foundations, shoring, retaining and ground support systems for infrastructure and development projects.
• Undertake geotechnical and structural modelling, and interpret site investigation, survey and instrumentation data.
• Determine construction methods and materials, and estimate quantities and costs.

The Role:

This is a pivotal role for someone who combines technical depth with the judgment to set direction. You'll take design and assessment responsibility for complex, high-value infrastructure and commercial projects - bridges and culverts and ground works, and the temporary works that support major developments - working alongside our structural, geotechnical and drafting specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and verify stormwater and sewer infrastructure, including pipes, manholes and associated civil works, to Sydney Water and local authority standards
• Undertake structural and geotechnical condition assessment of water and wastewater assets, including sewage pumping stations and treatment facilities, and develop remedial options
• Inspect, assess and load rate bridges and culvert systems - and develop strengthening, refurbishment and replacement designs
• Design deep foundations, shoring, retaining and ground support systems for infrastructure and development projects
• Undertake geotechnical and structural modelling, and interpret site investigation, survey and instrumentation data
• Determine construction methods and materials, and estimate quantities and costs

Requirements

About You

• Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (CPEng highly regarded)
• 10+ years’ structural design experience within the consultancy environment
• Demonstrated leadership experience with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong technical expertise in FEM and structural analysis software (Robot, Wallap, Revit & other Engineering Software)
• Demonstrated ability to author engineering reports for asset owners and regulatory authorities
• Demonstrated experience in at least two of: water and wastewater infrastructure assessment, bridge or culvert assessment and load rating, deep foundation and shoring design, or ground engineering
• Excellent client communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
