Job summary

Granite Group is seeking an experienced Change Lead for a short-term contract to partner with the Manager Transformation. The role focuses on delivering change activities, coaching senior leaders, and integrating change management into ICT project plans. Flexible working arrangements are available.

You will apply change management methodologies, assess impact across the Council, define success metrics and support communications and training efforts across Digital and ICT teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a change management specialist on large/complex programs or projects.
• Experience with change management principles, methodologies and tools.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Change Lead for a short term contract to assist the Manager Transformation in the delivery of change activities and interventions within the program. This includes playing a key role in direct support and coaching for senior leaders, managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions. The Change Lead will also support Digital and ICT project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans.

Key responsibilities

• Apply a change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a large scale ICT Roadmap implementation.
• Plan and manage core change management activities, deliverables and teams (including communications, stakeholder engagement, training, transition planning).
• Assess the change impact across Council - conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders to evaluate and ensure user readiness.
• Define and measure change success metrics, monitor change progress and report issues into governance forums.
• Support the design and development of change communications.
• Influence project delivery to integrate change management activities into project plans in both the Digital and ICT teams.
• Support and engage senior leaders, coach managers and supervisors and manage stakeholders across Council.

Skills and qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a change management specialist (or similar) on a number of programs or large/complex projects, from conception to implementation and realisation of the business change
• Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent active listening skills
• Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
