Job summary

Western Sydney University seeks a Change Analyst, Cyber to drive adoption of critical cyber security initiatives across the University. You will assess impacts, readiness and provide evidence-based insights to support change planning and execution within the Office of the Vice-Chancellor.

You will translate complex cyber requirements into actionable practices, develop user-focused training and communications, and produce dashboards to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.

  • Full time, fixed term position until 12 August 2027
  • Based at Western’s Parramatta South campus, with flexible working arrangements
  • Salary: HEW Level 7 $108,659 – $117,202 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading

Help drive the successful adoption of critical cyber security initiatives at Western.

The Opportunity

The Change Analyst, Cyber provides specialist expertise to assess organisational people impacts, stakeholder readiness and adoption requirements to support the successful delivery of critical cyber security initiatives across the University.

Working within the Office of the Vice-Chancellor and reporting to the Change and Adoption Manager, Cyber Program, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of change planning and execution activities, helping staff understand, engage with, and adopt new technologies, processes, and ways of working.

This role works closely with the organisational change team, cyber security program team, cyber security specialists, and key stakeholders to analyse complex impacts, identify risks and opportunities, and generate evidence-based insights that inform effective change and adoption strategies. You will contribute to the development of user-focused plans, training materials, learning resources, communications and reporting that support readiness and embed sustainable behavioural change across a diverse university environment.

A key aspect of the role is translating complex cyber security requirements into meaningful organisational outcomes. You will synthesise stakeholder feedback, adoption data and readiness insights to identify capability gaps, resistance patterns and opportunities for improvement. Through effective analysis, stakeholder engagement and communication, you will help build confidence, capability and commitment to change across the University.
