Method Recruitment Group partners with a growing product and services organisation seeking an experienced Finance Director/CFO to provide commercial leadership and financial rigour. Reporting to the CEO, you will drive strategic decisions, strengthen controls and lead the finance function across governance and consolidation.

You will deliver insights, mentor the finance team and support growth initiatives, ensuring scalable processes and strong financial performance across the business.

Qualifications

  • CA or CPA qualified finance leader with strong background in financial control
  • Experience in growing, changing or complex SME environments
  • Product and inventory-based business experience
  • Exposure to international reporting environments and stakeholder management
  • Proven success leading and developing finance teams

Responsibilities

  • Lead the finance function across financial control, reporting, compliance and governance
  • Strengthen month-end, year-end and group consolidation processes
  • Provide technical accounting leadership and resolve complex financial matters
  • Deliver commercial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Lead, mentor and develop the finance team
  • Enhance financial controls, systems and business processes
  • Support investment, growth and transformation initiatives
  • Partner closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on business performance and planning
  • Ensure an efficient, scalable and high-performing finance function

Job description

We are partnering with a growing and evolving product and services organisation with revenues of approximately $50 million. Following a significant growth phase over the past five years, the business is entering its next stage of maturity and is seeking an experienced Finance Director/CFO to provide commercial leadership, financial rigour and operational discipline. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, this role offers the opportunity to influence strategy, business performance, investment decisions and transformation initiatives across the organisation.

This is far more than a traditional finance leadership position. The successful candidate will bring both technical excellence and commercial acumen, providing meaningful insights that support decision-making while ensuring a strong financial control environment. The organisation requires a pragmatic, hands-on leader who can quickly establish credibility, strengthen financial processes and support the business through its next phase of growth and operational maturity.
