Job summary

Moir Group is partnering with a purpose-driven organisation to appoint a Chief Financial Officer to join its Executive Leadership Team in Australia. The CFO will lead finance, risk and governance while shaping strategy and organisational transformation.

Reporting to the CEO, this hands-on leader will work across government and regulators, driving performance, technology upgrades and strong stakeholder engagement at Board level.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified finance leader with strong technical capability and commercial judgement.
• Experience across finance leadership, strategy, risk and business transformation.
• Hands-on, technology-savvy leader who can move between detail and big picture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Finance function, including financial management, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and controls.
• Partner with the CEO, Executive Team and Board to provide clear commercial and strategic advice.
• Develop and implement corporate strategy, business plans and organisational frameworks.
• Lead risk management and maintain a strong governance and risk framework.
• Oversee technology, systems improvement and opportunities for efficiency.
• Drive business transformation and continuous improvement across the organisation.
• Prepare high-quality Board papers, analysis and recommendations.
• Lead and develop a capable, high-performing team.

We are partnering with a highly regarded and purpose-driven organisation to appoint a Chief Financial Officer to join its Executive Leadership Team. This is a broad and influential leadership role, combining finance, technology, risk, strategy and organisational transformation.

Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will play a key role in shaping the organisation's future direction while ensuring strong financial, operational and governance foundations.

Position

The CFO will be responsible for:

• Leading the Finance function, including financial management, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and controls.

Profile

You will be a CA/CPA qualified finance leader with strong technical capability and commercial judgement. You will have demonstrated experience across finance leadership, strategy, risk and business transformation.

Importantly, you will be more than a traditional CFO. You will be a hands-on, technology-savvy leader who can move comfortably between the detail and the bigger picture.
