Job summary

Otraco is seeking a Suitably qualified OTR Tyre Fitter Leading Hand at our Dawson mine site in Queensland. The role provides on-site leadership, supporting the workshop, office, stock and personnel to ensure the contracted scope is performed to a high standard.

You will bring two years Leading Hand experience in earthmoving, a Certificate II Tyre Fitting, a C class licence, and a forklift ticket. The position offers a 7 on, 7 off day shift and a competitive remuneration package with salary

Qualifications

• Two years of Leading Hand experience in the earthmover industry.
• Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical Tyre Fitting Heavy or equivalent Tyre Fitting Competency (AUR21916/AUR21920).
• Valid C Class driving licence; HR advantageous.
• Current Work Safe/ High Risk Forklift Ticket.
• High level of initiative and ability to work well under pressure.
• Safety is paramount with high attention to site procedures.
• Maturity and reliability to handle responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level on-site service supporting workshop, office, stock and personnel.
• Ensure the contracted scope is performed and maintained to a high standard.
• Lead and coordinate tyre fitting activities at the Dawson mine site.

Job description

In Australia alone, we have a presence on over 46 mining operations, and, due to continued growth and internal movement, we currently require a Suitably qualified OTR Tyre Fitter Leading Hand at our Dawson mine site in QLD.

THE POSITION

The Leading Hand will provide a high level of continuous service on site by supporting the operations of the workshop, office, stock and personnel, and will also ensure the contracted scope of work is performed and maintained to a high standard.

ABOUT YOU

• Preferably two years of Leading Hand experience in the earthmover industry
• A Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical Tyre Fitting Heavy or equivalent Tyre Fitting Competency; AUR21916/AUR21920
• A valid C Class driving licence; HR advantageous
• A current Work Safe/ High Risk Forklift Ticket
• Possess a high level of initiative and the ability to work well under pressure
• An understanding that safety is paramount, with a high attention to detail to abide by site safety procedures
• Possess a high level of maturity, initiative and the ability to work well under pressure
