Job summary

National Group is seeking a Diesel Mechanic with mining exposure to work on site at Dawson Mine. This permanent, full-time role offers ongoing maintenance across a fleet including heavy earthmoving equipment, with a 7 on 7 off day/night roster.

Ideal candidates hold an Australian recognised trade certificate, 3+ years post-trade experience, heights and EWP tickets, and strong diagnostic skills to support preventative maintenance and breakdowns. Accommodation and meals are provided.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised trade completion certificate and minimum 3 years post-trade experience.
• Ex-OEM experience highly regarded.
• Working at heights & EWP tickets.
• QLD ResHealth Medical and Standard 11 required.
• Outstanding troubleshooting/diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and ensure high machine availability.
• Carry out scheduled servicing, change outs and repairs.
• Provide breakdown diagnostic support.
• Suggest productivity or cost-improvement initiatives.
