Job summary

Otraco is seeking an experienced Relief Tyre Fitter/Technician to service mining operations across multiple sites. You will perform planned and reactive tyre changes on mobile mining equipment, perform inspections, and ensure tyre pressures and wheel components meet site specifications.

The role requires 2+ years of earthmover tyre fitting, a valid HR licence, and a forklift licence, with a strong safety focus and ability to work autonomously across sites in Western Australia.

Qualifications

• Preferably a minimum of 2 years of Earthmover tyre fitting experience on mine sites.
• A valid HR Drivers Licence.
• A current WorkSafe forklift licence (LF).
• Possess a high level of initiative and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Safety is paramount with a high attention to detail to abide by site safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking planned and reactive tyre changes on a range of mobile mining equipment.
• Performing routine inspections and assessing wheel components, entering data into our tyre management system.

Job description

In Australia alone, we have a presence on over 45 mining operations, and, due to continued growth and internal movement, we currently require an experienced OTR Tyre Fitter or Technician for our Central Rio Relief team.

THE POSITION

As a Relief Tyre Fitter/Technician, you undertake planned and reactive tyre changes/maintenance on a range of mobile mining equipment across various sites. You will provide a high level of continuous service on site by supporting the operations of the workshop, office, stock and personnel, ensuring the contracted scope of work is performed and maintained to a high standard.Duties include:

• Undertaking planned and reactive tyre changes on a range of mobile mining equipment
• Performing routine inspections and assessing wheel components to remain in service, entering data into our revolutionary tyre management system
• Maintaining pressures and quality in accordance to site specifications. Upholding our commitment to providing an excellent level of service to our clients

ABOUT YOU

• Preferably a minimum of 2 years of Earthmover tyre fitting experience on mine sites
• A Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical Tyre Fitting Heavy; AUR21916/ AUR21920 preferred
• A valid HR Drivers Licence
• A current WorkSafe forklift licence (LF)
• Possess a high level of initiative and the ability to work well under pressure
• An understanding that safety is paramount, with a high attention to detail to abide by site safety procedures
• Possess a high level of maturity, initiative and the ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to work autonomously
• Mobility & professionalism to move across multiple sites and work within multiple work groups across the region
