Job summary

Otraco is seeking an experienced OTR Tyre Technician for our WA operations in the Orelia region. You will work on mining equipment such as CAT 785, 992, 988 and 777, focusing on tyre fitting and maintenance at a site with excellent tyre facilities.

The role requires 2+ years of earthmover tyre fitting on mine sites, a Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical Tyre Fitting Heavy, a forklift licence, and an HR licence.

Qualifications

• Preferably a minimum of 2 years of Earthmover tyre fitting experience on mine sites.
• Essential: Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical Tyre Fitting Heavy; AUR21916/AUR21920.
• Current WorkSafe forklift licence.
• Must have HR Driver's Licence (A or B).
• High level of initiative; work well under pressure.
• Strict adherence to site safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Fit tyres on a range of mining equipment, including CAT 785, 992, 988 and 777.
• Operate safely with a strong focus on tyre maintenance and efficiency.
• Work autonomously while following site safety procedures.

Job description

We currently require an experienced OTR Tyre Technician for our Orelia operations in WA: which is locatedapproximately 68km northeast of Leinster in the Yandal Greenstone Belt in Western Australia. Operations include both open pit, underground mining.

The Role

Working on a range of machinery including a CAT 785,992,988 and 777’s. The site has exceptional tyre facilities.

About You

• Preferably a minimum of 2 years of Earthmover tyre fitting experience on mine sites
• Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical Tyre Fitting Heavy; AUR21916/AUR21920 (essential)
• A current WorkSafe forklift (LF) licence
• Must have HR Drivers Licence (A or B)
• Possess a high level of initiative and the ability to work well under pressure
• An understanding that safety is paramount, with a high attention to detail to abide by site safety procedures
• Ability to work autonomously
