Job summary

Regional Development Australia Moreton Bay and Sunshine Coast Inc in Maroochydore, QLD, seeks a Chief Executive Officer to lead strategic direction and represent the organisation across levels of government and partners.

The CEO will connect stakeholders, manage governance, drive investment in people and places, support decarbonisation, and oversee budgets and reporting, with a focus on outcomes for the Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast and Noosa regions.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated senior leadership experience in large or complex organisations.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to set and achieve outcomes.
• Excellent stakeholder management across multiple government levels and sectors.
• Proven ability to drive governance and financial oversight.
• Analytical, data-driven with an ability to translate insights into policy and programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and represent the organisation at all levels of government and with regional partners.
• Develop and implement the Annual Business Plan and Budget and report on outcomes.
• Facilitate investment in people, places, services and industries to support regional growth.
• Support decarbonisation efforts and the transition to a net-zero economy in the region.
• Build evidence for regional development through data and intelligence.
• Manage day-to-day affairs of the RDA Committee and its personnel.
• Lead recruitment and development of staff in line with governance provisions.
• Coordinate engagement with First Nations communities and diverse groups.
• Oversee communications strategy and annual reporting.
• Ensure prudent financial management and compliance with funding agreements.
