Job summary

JLL is seeking an Operations Coordinator in Ballarat/Cranbourne to manage day-to-day operations across Central Square Ballarat and Thompson Parkway Cranbourne. You will ensure compliance, safety, and presentation while fostering retailer and client relationships and driving operational excellence.

You will oversee contracts, capital improvements, budgets, and reporting, working with the Centre Manager to identify efficiencies and innovative solutions that uphold JLL’s trusted reputation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in shopping centre operations or facilities management with a strong understanding of compliance requirements and industry best practice.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, prepare forecasts, and deliver cost-effective operational outcomes.
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems, plant and equipment, and maintenance protocols in retail/commercial settings.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to produce clear reports and documentation for diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and FM software.
• Valid driver’s license and clear police record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shopping centre operations, including facilities management, repairs, and contractor coordination.
• Build and maintain relationships with retailers and clients; address operational needs and concerns.
• Manage contracts and tendering: ensure compliance, quality, and safety.
• Conduct building audits, energy assessments, and safety reviews.
• Prepare operating budgets and contribute to multi-year plans; monitor expenditures.
• Oversee security, emergency procedures, and risk management.
• Lead capital improvement projects from tender to completion.
• Maintain asset records and lifecycle analyses for strategic planning.
• Deliver timely reports on performance, compliance, and cost-saving opportunities.
