Job summary

Symphony Early Learning Centre in Atherton (QLD) is seeking a dedicated Centre Leader who can uphold child safety, wellbeing and inclusive education. You will lead a safe, engaging learning environment and drive high quality curriculum and staff development.

Responsibilities include mentoring the team, ensuring regulatory compliance (NQF, child safe standards), managing operations and building strong partnerships with families and the community.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent).
• Proven leadership experience in early childhood education and team management.
• Strong knowledge of the NQF, approved learning frameworks, child development and compliance requirements.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certifications, or willingness to obtain.
• Current Working With Children Check/Blue Card or willingness to obtain.
• Understanding of inclusive and culturally responsive practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment where children’s rights, voice, identity and wellbeing are central.
• Oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of high quality, child led curriculum experiences.
• Mentor and support team members, fostering reflective practice, professional growth and collaboration.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families and staff, promoting engagement and advocacy.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements, including the NQF, child safe standards and organisational policies.
• Manage operational, administrative and financial aspects of the centre to maintain service excellence.
• Act as a strong advocate for children, families and the early learning sector within the community.
• Collaborate with the team to share ideas, drive continuous improvement and maintain a positive workplace culture.
• Uphold professional boundaries and ethical conduct in line with legislative requirements.
