Job summary

The Great Aussie Bush Camp is seeking a Centre Manager to lead our Macedon Ranges group camp just outside Kyneton. You’ll guide a diverse team across activities, accommodation, hospitality and maintenance, delivering safe, high‑quality experiences for young visitors.

In this hands‑on role you’ll shape operations, manage rostering and budgeting, build strong relationships with teachers and staff, and uphold our Child Safe commitments while supporting growth and outdoor learning.

What You’ll Do

• Act as the key liaison for onsite teachers, providing high‑level communication and service.
• Ensure compliance, risk management and safety standards are consistently met.
• Manage rostering, performance, and operational planning.
• Support financial oversight including budgets, CAPEX projects and procurement.
• Help the centre evolve and grow as part of our broader business strategy.

What You Bring

We're looking for someone who is:

• An experienced leader or supervisor (outdoor education or camp setting ideal, but not essential)
• A clear, confident communicator who builds trust and strong relationships
• Organised, calm under pressure, and skilled at juggling multiple priorities
• Passionate about safety, quality, and continuous improvement
• Comfortable being present onsite during key delivery hours
• A problem‑solver with a can‑do attitude, high integrity, and genuine passion for supporting young people
