About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the centre and ensuring a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for young children. The role involves leading staff, maintaining compliance with relevant standards, and supporting the development and wellbeing of children.

Key responsibilities

• Developing and implementing programs that enhance the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of young children.
• Providing care and supervision for children in before-school, after-school, day, and vacation care programs.
• Directing and supervising Child Carers to ensure high-quality care and appropriate supervision of young children.
• Ensuring the centre provides a safe and welcoming environment for children, staff, and visitors.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant government requirements, regulations, and quality standards.
• Liaising with parents and maintaining positive relationships with families.
• Maintaining accurate centre records, documentation, and accounts.
• Recruiting staff and coordinating professional development and training.
• Supporting the team to maintain a high standard of care, education, and service within the centre.
