Ezy-Fit Hydraulics & Engineering Group in Salisbury South is seeking an experienced Centre Lathe Operator to join the turning section. You will handle large components up to 600mm diameter and 8 metres long, plus smaller turning up to 300mm diameter and 3 metres.

You will manufacture per work orders, inspect in-process results, and contribute to continuous improvement while maintaining safety standards and traceability of products.

• Thorough knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes.
• Good communication skills.
• Excellent reading and writing skills.
• The right to work in Australia.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience operating key manufacturing equipment.

About The Opportunity

Ezy-Fit Hydraulics & Engineering Group has a great opportunity for an experienced Centre Lathe Operator to join our high performing team in our Salisbury South branch.

This role will see you in our large turning section you will have exceptional skills using manual lathes to turn large components up to 600mm diameter and 8 metres long to exacting tolerances. For our smaller manual turning you will have exceptional skills turning components up to 300mm diameter and 3 metres long.

Your Tasks

• Carry out the manufacture of products and components in accordance with work orders, drawings and other instructions.


• Assist with material and component selection and handling.


• Maintain identification and traceability of manufactured products.


• Carry out and record the results of in-process inspections on manufactured components and assemblies according to instructions.


• Report non-conformities to the Leading Hand or Production Manager.


• Look for opportunities of continuous improvement within the organisation.
