Ezy-Fit Hydraulics in Salisbury South is offering an Apprentice Fitter & Machinist position, starting December/January. You will rotate through various stages of hydraulic cylinder manufacture, from precision machining to assembly and testing, gaining wide exposure within a national network.

The Elevate Apprenticeship Program provides a mentor, structured learning, and a community of pursuing apprentices to support your development. This role builds a long-term engineering career.

Qualifications

• Minimum Year 10 High School Certificate.
• Curious about how machines and mechanical systems work.
• Comfortable with maths and good with your hands.
• Careful and precise – accuracy matters in this trade.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside senior fitters and machinists on the manufacture and assembly of hydraulic cylinders.
• Learn to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Get hands-on with precision machining processes and equipment.
• Assist with testing and quality checks on finished components.

About the Opportunity

Since 1993, Ezy-Fit Hydraulics has grown from a small Adelaide workshop into one of Australia's leading manufacturers of custom-built hydraulic cylinders, with specialist divisions spanning hydraulics, marine, and engineering.

We're looking for an Apprentice Fitter & Machinist to join our Salisbury South team, starting December/January. Because Ezy-Fit designs and builds cylinders from the ground up rather than just repairing them, you'll get exposure to the full manufacturing process - from precision machining through to assembly and testing - across a genuinely varied range of industries, including defence and marine work you won't find at most workshops.

You'll also have the opportunity to rotate across our local branches during your apprenticeship, giving you exposure to different equipment, processes, and specialisations.

You won't be figuring this out on your own. Through our Elevate Apprenticeship Program, you'll have a mentor in your corner, structured learning through the Elevate Academy, and a wider community of apprentices across Questas Group going through the same journey.
